OCCUPANTS
BEGIN MOVING IN TO THE PEARL DISTRICTS MOST EXCITING HISTORIC RENOVATION
PROJECT
Marshall-Wells
Loft Project begins move in process October 22nd
Portland,
Or.
Robert Ball,
a Portland real estate investor specializing in preserving and converting
historic buildings into classic living spaces, announced today that the
Marshall-Wells Lofts are open for occupancy beginning the week of October
22nd.
Sales
have been absolutely sensational, said Ball. We are 75% presold
and our buyers are really getting excited to move in. We expect to have
most of them moved in before Christmas, Ball added.
The historic
warehouse located on the edge of the Pearl District have been converted
into 164 classic lofts. The building, built in 1910, was once a Marshall-Wells
Hardware Company warehouse. It covers the block between Northwest Lovejoy
Street, Northwest Kearney Street and Northwest 14th and 15th Avenues.
The
Marshall-Wells Lofts project has offered a unique opportunity to live
in a fully-renovated historic landmark listed on the National Register
of Historic Places, and has given every purchaser a historic tax freeze,
said Ball. Where some lofts can only mimic the design of the classic
industrial buildings of Portlands warehouse district, Marshall-Wells
is a true industrial warehouse. Marshall-Wells exposes and celebrates
its own true nature, Ball added.
Weve
carefully combined the pure architectural statement of a manufacturing
building with a modern residential community. The rehabilitation of Marshall-Wells
is a very important addition to Portlands livability. It is the
jewel in the crown of the Pearl District, Ball said
The most
substantial change to the structure has been the 4,500-square-foot atrium
cut in the center of the building from the roof to the third floor. The
atrium provides ventilation and light to 12 lofts located on each floor
of the buildings interior. There are 193 secure, covered parking
spaces. Prices start at $183,900. Special financing is still available
for qualified first time homebuyers.
Howard S.
Wright Construction is the general contractor. Principal Broker Chris

office team which is located at 1001 NW 14th. The sales office is open
Monday-Friday from 10-5pm, Saturday from 11-5pm and Sunday from 12-4 pm.
The telephone number is 503 223-2255.
